Cet Haliotis tuberculata tuberculata vit dans l' Atlantique, du Portugal à l' Irlande. Sa sculpture extérieure est plus ou moins prononcée et sa couleur très variable. Celui de dessus vient d' une brocante (62 mm.) et ceux de dessous de Bretagne-sud ramassés il y a une soixantaine d' années. Je ne sais pas comment cette vieille collection a été conservée mais la nacre de beaucoup de coquillages part en copeaux puis en aiguilles quand on la frotte. Taille: 99/109 mm.
This Haliotis tuberculata tuberculata lives in the Atlantic, from Portugal to Ireland. His outside sculpture is more or less pronounced and its color varies. This above comes from a flea market (62 mm.) and those below south Brittany collected there about sixty years. I do not know how this old collection has been preserved but the mother pearl of many shells goes away as chips and needles when rubbed. Size: 99/109 mm.
